Surge Hoppers


Blentech manufactures a wide array of ancillary equipment, including surge hoppers of varying geometry for a variety of applications. We engineer these key ancillary systems so they integrate with other Blentech and OEM systems to create complete production lines. Blentech manufactures agitated surge hoppers to keep slurries and products with particulate and liquid phases, such as taco meat or soups and sauces, in homogeneous suspension ahead of filling and packaging equipment. Hoppers are sized to balance the process rate of the upstream processing equipment with that of the packaging system. Optional steam/hot water jacket maintains product temperature prior to filling. Blentech also manufactures non-agitated surge hoppers ideal for vacuum loading applications as well as scraped-surface, jacketed conical surge hoppers to maintain temperature of cooked processed cheese prior to filling and setting process stages.
