Blentech is excited to share that Crystal Dinh, Applications Engineering Manager, has been recognized with PMMI’s 2025 On the Rise Award, honoring emerging leaders making a measurable impact across the packaging and processing industry.
Driving Better Outcomes for Blentech Customers
Crystal’s work has strengthened Blentech in ways that directly improve our customers’ experience. She led the adoption of our Propel PLM platform in a way that brought the company along, supporting teams, removing friction, and giving engineers and project managers clearer, faster access to the information they need. She also built our configure-to-order quoting system, which cut response times by 50–75% and allows us to give customers accurate, well-scoped proposals much earlier in their decision-making process.
Engineering Leadership With Measurable Impact
On the process side, Crystal’s engineering leadership has helped customers achieve significant operational gains—including up to an 80% reduction in cycle time and a 10% increase in yield—by rethinking workflows and optimizing equipment around how people actually run their plants.
Strengthening Collaboration Across Blentech
Internally, her work on standardizing cross-department processes has made collaboration smoother, expectations clearer, and project handoffs more reliable. Her leadership shows up not only in the systems she builds, but in the confidence and capability she instills within her team.
Industry Contributions and Thought Leadership
She has been featured in Dairy Processing Magazine for her insights on flow-control solutions and is a recurring presenter at Ohio State University’s Thermal Processing of Ready-to-Eat Meat Products Short Course (2024 & 2025). Her sessions focus on thermal processing technologies for viscous and semi-fluid foods—products that are notoriously difficult to heat uniformly and safely. Her contributions help processors improve product quality, enhance food safety, and optimize energy efficiency. Click to watch her Thermal Processing presentation
A Strong Technical Foundation
Crystal’s engineering leadership is backed by both an MS and BS in Biological Systems Engineering from UC Davis, along with continued professional development through UC Berkeley and ongoing technical training.
Recognition From Blentech Leadership
Her impact is clear across the company, reflected in this note from CEO Dan Voit:
Crystal’s got that rare mix of intelligence, determination, and heart that makes great things happen. She’s always learning, always helping others, and always pushing us forward. We’re better for having her here—it’s an honor to work alongside her.
About the PMMI On the Rise Awards

Congratulating All 2025 On the Rise Award Winners
We also want to extend our congratulations to all of this year’s PMMI On the Rise Award recipients. The innovation, dedication, and leadership shown across this group reflect the strength and momentum of the entire processing and packaging industry. We’re inspired by their achievements and look forward to seeing how each of these emerging leaders continues to shape the future of our field.
