Batch Mixers


Blentech batch mixers can heat, mix, blend, cook, cool and chill. Horizontal agitation is a highly effective means of blending a wide assortment of products; from dry powders to low viscosity liquid products to high viscosity meat emulsions. Horizontal mixers blend products in multiple dimensions; lifting and folding the batch while stirring it about the vessel trough. Our vast blending expertise allows us to identify ideal mixer configuration for any application. Batch mixers are available in single and dual agitator models with a variety of agitator configurations to match your particular processing requirements.

Single Agitator Mixer A single agitator mixer is suitable for mixing dry powders and liquid products with particulates. It has a specially designed agitator for balanced conveyance and fluidized mixing.

Twin Agitator Mixer Twin agitator mixers are suitable for applications for which increased blending and folding action is required. Viscous, sticky products tend to “cylinder” or travel with a single agitator. Twin agitators force motion in the batch disrupting the “cylindering” effect. This is done by reversing the agitator motion to break up the product. Increased shear promotes protein extraction that is a beneficial outcome when blending meat products. The intermeshing dual agitator configuration is ideal for raw meat blends for minimizing fat smear.
